Roma announced Tadija Dragicevic

Roma signed Tadija Dragicevic(2.05-PF) until the end of the season.

The deal was announced today by the official website of Virtus Roma and it explains that the Serbian power forward will be a player of Virtus Roma until the end of the season. The 2008 MVP of the Adriatic League was selected by the Utah Jazz in the 2nd round of the 2008 NBA Draft.

He was released from Red Star last week and this seems like a strategy move allowing him to become a free agent in the summer and perhaps pursuit a bigger contract. Dragicevic averaged 12.6 points 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 15 games in the Adriatic League for Red Star this season.

Fenerbahce brings Ukic back to Europe

Fenerbahce decided to go for the big guns and signed Roko-Leni Ukic (1.96-PG).

The croatian star was waived by Milwaukee bucks wi th the following announcement:

The Milwaukee Bucks have requested waivers on guard Roko Ukic (6-5, 190), General Manager John Hammond announced today. Ukic requested to have his contract voided by Milwaukee, removing any further obligation by the Bucks for the remainder of his contract.

Roko asked to be released from his contract in order to pursue other playing opportunities,” said Hammond. “We appreciate his hard work and professionalism while with the Bucks and wish him well in his career.”

In 13 games for the Bucks this season, Ukic averaged 3.1 points in 7.5 minutes per game. He was acquired along with Carlos Delfino from Toronto on August 18 for Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems. The Bucks roster now stands at 14 players.

Today the player was announced by the official website of Fenerbahce and Ukic is regarded as a messiah of sorts that will lead the Turkish team back to glory. In the Euroleague he played for Baskonia, Barcelona and Virtus Roma and his NBA experience was quite shortlived playing for Toronto and Milwaukee. By the looks of things he is back in the Euroleague again, until the end of the season at least.

Sconnie Penn returns to Olympiakos

Olympiakos signed yet another point-guard and this time it's Scoonie Penn(1.80-PG)

In a surprising move Olympiakos announced the signing of point guard James Scoonie Penn via their official site. Penn will probably be taking the place of Patrick Beverley in the Greek League, as there is no limitation of non-European players in the Euroleague.

Penn returns to Olympiakos where he played during season 2006-2007 and he has also played Red Star, Cibona, Makedonikos, Scavolini, Efes Pilsen, BC Kyiv and Virtus Bologna where he started the season. He didn't do so well in Virtus averaging 6.3 points 2 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 10 games.
